"Via Goode is an exceptional story teller! She is clearly gifted with a talent for telling stories to young children that are engaging, age-appropriate, and educational. She keeps the children engaged through songs, movement, props, and a wonderful sense of humor and excitement as she tells the stories. She is very thoughtful about the stories she presents, making the experience one that is a true favorite of our preschool. We always look forward to having Goode Stories come to visit! It's one of our favorite days of the year!"
-- Becky Miles, Director Great Bridge Presbyterian Church Preschool & Kindergarten, Chesapeake, Va.
“Ms. Goode recently returned to our school for the third year in a row to kick off Reading Month with our Preschoolers and Kindergarteners. Her background in teaching is immediately evident when you see the rapport she builds with the students. She is enthusiastic, creative, and does a fantastic job involving the students in each story to keep them connected and engaged. The students LOVED her stories and want to know when she can return. In addition to putting on a great show, Ms. Goode is very organized and efficient when dealing with scheduling and contracts, making the process very easy. I was also very impressed that she made a point to keep track of which stories she told at our school over the past two years in order to make sure she presented our kids with something new each year. I would not hesitate to recommend Via Goode for any storytelling needs you may have!”
-- Kellee Kraft, Library Media Specialist, Arrowhead Elem. School, Virginia Beach, Va.
"Ms. Goode is an absolutely super fantastic storyteller!!!!! She held the students' attention (which can be hard to do with 3rd thru 5th graders!) and they were actively engaged as they watched her bring stories alive with facial expressions, voice intonations and body movements. She made learning fun and exciting. And I was having just and much fun as they were. I am looking forward to having Ms. Goode this upcoming school year!"
-- Darlette Ambrose, First Grade Lead Teacher, B. C. Charles Elem. School, Newport News, Va.
"Ms. Goode's creative array of voices, props, and stories makes for a spellbinding experience for children and adults alike. Months after the performance, my 5- and 10-year-old daughters remember the stories and songs! Ms. Goode's ability to tailor her performance to her audience allows each child to feel like they are an integral part of the experience. What a treat to hear a real story in this age of high-tech electronics!"
-- Carolann Cervi, Greenbrier Manor School, Chesapeake, Va.
My Red Hat Lady friends and myself had our monthly outing and the "highlight" of our outing was a "storyteller". Now why would a bunch of old ladies want to hear someone tell a story??? I didn't say it, but I sure thought it. Let me tell you!!! Via is her name, and she can really tell a story. She puts herself totally into the story: changing her voice from male to female to child, changing from deep South to up North, from Irish to Londoner or to whatever is called for. She is a joy to listen to and will make you want to hear more. NOW I SEE WHY WE WOULD WANT TO HEAR SOMEONE TELL A STORY!

"Miss Goode told stories to our troop.
She was so funny--we all loved her stories. She kept us entertained the whole time and she used cool props to
tell her stories. She is a great storyteller!"

"Whenever I tell the children at our center that the storyteller is coming, they are thrilled! Ms. Goode relates so wonderfully to the different ages with her stories, her delivery and her enthusiasm. Her stories are interactive with the children, keeps them attentive, and gets them involved in the stories. The stories she tells are not only fun, but learning experiences also. We are so blessed to have Ms.Goode as part of our curriculum planning!"
-- Ellen Belfi, Promote Family Preschool and Childcare Center, Chesapeake, Va.
"When you first hear of a storyteller, you think of someone reading you a good book. This program goes so far beyond that. We invite Goode Stories to our school every year for summer camp and the children love her energetic telling of fun tales. From ages 2 to 10 years, the children are engaged and you usually hear lots of giggles and laughter. Even the teachers thoroughly enjoy this program and learn fun tips and tricks to use in their classrooms. I would highly recommend this service to anyone interested!"
-- Whitney Stark, Churchland Christian Academy, Chesapeake, Va.
"Miss Goode is an excellent story teller. She WOWED everyone. She kept all the kids’ attention throughout the whole session. The stories were very motivating and I found myself closely listening to see what would happen next. She would get my vote hands down every time."

"Ms. Via is really knowledgeable about children so her techniques help with "setting the stage" and behavior guidance. She's very professional with the teachers as well. And we LOVE her stories - she is a true professional and a ton of fun!"
-- Ginny Laprairie, First Discovery Child Development Center, Virginia Beach, Va.
"Ms. Goode's songs & stories were wonderful! Rather than sending goodie bags to school for my children's birthdays, I asked Ms. Goode to share her gift of stories. Her performances were amazing and fun. She captivated the children and teachers alike with her props, voices, and songs. If you're looking for ideas to make a birthday extra special....consider some 'Goode' Stories."
-- K. MacKay, Chesapeake, Va.
"Miss Via captivates the whole room (adults included) with her stories. She can read the energy level of the room and adjust her stories/songs accordingly. My son's 4th birthday was so much fun and educational and everyone enjoyed themselves enormously. He's still singing some of those songs!"
-- R. Cunningham, Chesapeake, Va.
"The 'Goode' Stories are better than good. The children are an integral part of the stories. It was entertaining, interesting, and funny. The children were on the edge of their seats with each story. We look forward to having the 'Goode' Storyteller again next school year!"
