About Me (and my stories!)

Hi! I'm Via Goode. (Yes, that's my real name - and it's pronounced VY-uh Good.)

I'm a storyteller, not a story-reader. That means I perform the stories (or, as one 4-year-old listener remarked, "Mommy, she didn't have any books; she WAS the story!"). Some of my stories are based on folklore and some are original stories, developed specifically for my audience -- which tends to consist of mostly children (although I often perform for adult audiences, too!). All stories are performed live, and typically include some simple props, character voices, and often songs. And all stories are entertaining, age appropriate, and engaging -- I encourage active participation by the audience!
